Q: Why is organizing so important?

  • Organizing is important for multiple different reasons. 1.) It helps you know where your things are stored and allows you to see them, so you can use them more often. 2.) Clutter in your spaces causes clutter in your brain. Having your spaces organized allows you to think about what's important to you- like family, friends, jobs, and pets. 3.) Storing things you don't need or want is wasting precious space in your home. Free up space to be used in functional ways for the things you value. 4.) It is appealing to the eye!

Q: What will each step of the process be like?

Q: Do yo use a specific organizational method?

  • While we do not use just one organizational method, we think that each method has its pros and cons. That is why we use a blend of many different methods to organize your space.

Q: Will I need to buy extra storage containers or other supplies?

  • A: There are two ways to do this, and it is up to the client. 1.) If the client has enough organizing supplies on hand (containers, bins, shelves, hangers, etc.) the experienced organizer will be able to use those things. One thing to note is that if the client chooses to do it this way, it will not look as uniform, but it will save you money. 2.) If the client does not have enough organizing supplies on hand or they simply want it to look more uniform, the experienced organizer may suggest supplies for you to purchase.

Q: How much will this cost me?

  • A: Great question! We know that sometimes finances get in the way of organizing spaces in your home, and that is completely understandable. For the organizing services of On It Organizing, we offer very fair and affordable rates. Check out the OUR PRICES tab to find out more information.

Q: Do I need to be home the whole time the organizer is working on my space?

  • We ask that the client is home during the process of sorting through their things (after everything is taken out of the space) and during the time when they will see the finished product. During the other times that the experienced organizer is working in your space, we ask that you are at least available by phone call or text in case a question arises.

Q: Are cleaning and organizing the same thing?

  • We get this question a lot! No, cleaning and organizing are not the same thing. Cleaning involves washing, dusting, sanitizing, sweeping, etc. Organizing involves putting things in containers, sorting things, labeling things, and placing them in the space so they are easy to find.

Q: How far will you travel to organize my space?

  • We service clients who live in the metro area of the Twin Cities in Minnesota.

Q: Do you have a minimum time per session?

  • Yes, we have a minimum of 3 hours per organizing session.
